High
temperature testing of materials at the nano-scale is the title of this year's Micro Materials Ltd's online mini symposium. Registration is open now.
With our NanoTest Vantage and NanoTest Xtreme nanomechanical testing instruments, we have proven our world-leading capabilities
in the field of high temperature nano-mechanical characterization with hundreds of
installations world-wide.
Materials researchers use our instruments to investigate the behaviour of materials for applications in aerospace and automotive manufacturing , cutting tools for high speed machining – and, not least, the nuclear sector, where they need to test at temperatures ≥1,000 degrees C - uniquely achievable using the NanoTest Xtreme operating under high vacuum conditions.
This is an opportunity for you to hear from leading users in high temperature testing in a free-to-attend online mini symposium.
Join us online - Thursday 21 Nov 2024, follow this link to register: https://my.demio.com/ref/lfo1Xjt89DgO2iHv
The mini symposium starts at 13.30 GMT, duration approx. 2 hours
Registered delegates will be given a recording of the event to review when convenient.
Speakers:
Prof. Nigel Jennett, Strategic Measures Ltd, Rugby
Challenges in high temperature nanoindentation
Prof. Łukasz Kurpaska, National Center for Nuclear Research, Warsaw
Deformation of Fe-Cr model alloys at high temperatures and after radiation damage measured by nanoindentation
Dr. Vineet Bhakhri, Canadian Nuclear Laboratories, Chalk River
High-temperature Micro-mechanical Characterization of SiC Coating in Surrogate TRISO Fuel Particles
Dr. James Gibson, United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority
