We are delighted to announce that Micro Materials Ltd has recently delivered a NanoTest Vantage system to YG-1 Co Ltd's HQ, located in Incheon, South Korea's third largest city.
Established in 1981, YG-1 is now a leading global manufacturer of cutting tools.
Specialising in end mills, drills, taps, and turning tools, YG-1 supplies cutting tools to customers in the aerospace & automotive sectors, as well as to companies which make dies and molds.
Sharing Micro Materials Ltd's own commitment to innovative solutions for real-world engineering challenges, the researchers at YG-1 will be using the unique micro-impact testing capabilities of the NanoTest Vantage instrument to accelerate the development of their coatings for cutting tools.
Two years ago, a team from YG-1 won an innovation award at the KSMPE (Korean Society of Manufacturing Process Engineers) Fall Conference for their research in developing the TitaNox-Power HPC Solid Carbide End Mill for the aerospace industry.
This groundbreaking tool addresses the challenges of machining difficult-to-machine materials and we are excited to support their future advances in this important field.
