The NanoTest
is used to investigate tablet hardness and resistance to
indentation-induced fracture. Results are used to optimize tablet
formulation to minimize susceptibility to brittle fracture that leads to
damage during packaging, handling and transportation.
The fracture
resistance of single particles in powders is assessed using the NanoTest
high resolution microscope. Critical fracture loads determined with the
NanoTest indentation module enable powder formulations to be optimized for
ease of powder processing and dispersion.
The NanoTest
Adhesion option has been designed to measure the adhesion between
different pharmaceutical powders.
